House Progress...

It's been almost a year since I gave a little peek into our recent "house progress" on my blog. It's been a slow go, but we're getting there. With Pat working pretty steady this past year we've been blessed with the funds to complete more "finish" work and added cabinets to our laundry/mud room.

Love progress and checking off my "to do" list. And this week carpet, tra-laaa !!!! More updates to come after the carpet goes in this week, until then here's a few pics of our progress.

Fireplace mantel, rustic alder, high profile, either a gas insert or a pellet-stove zero clearance to be added later. Mantel crafted by our cabinet maker.

Wood trim around windows and interior wall.

Laundry/mud room.

Of course a few fun items to add to the decor,

Fun door panel from "Real Deals".
Made fun burlap pumpkins for Fall, white burlap with vintage lace ruffle.
Another version with brown burlap and tulle ruffle.
Another version with brown burlap and vintage lace ruffle.

Planted new trees this past Spring, "Autumn Blaze" maples, and we had color this Fall.

Helena MT

Spending the week in Helena MT with my hubby. Enjoying the mild weather, but wait...it's going to change tonight! Big winter blast heading our way, snow and more snow....should be interesting traveling home tomorrow night. Thank goodness we have 4-wheel drive, it will be a winter wonderland around here soon.

I had the pleasure of walking the "Gulch" district area yesterday, the old down town of Helena, fun shops and eateries. Beautiful Fall day. The Gulch area use to be the mining district back in the day, lots of gold and silver in them there hills! LOL

Helena is a flat valley surrounded by beautiful mountains, the sun rise and sun sets have been gorgeous this week.

Today is very difficult day for most of us who voted for change and won't get it now. Trying to find joy in all this madness, but I still have hope and continue to trust in God.

Love this Season

Fall reminds me of my childhood in New England, the change of colors, temperatures, clothing, and foods. Brings back wonderful memories of yesterdays.

Making new memories now here Montana, this will be our third Thanksgiving here in Philipsburg. September was lovely, color change..with mild temps. October chilly mornings, more color change, deer coming down out of the mountains and around the house, and now the end of October snow flurries...patches of snow here and there. Soup making and more comfort foods planned for November.

Scenes around my home this month...

I'm Back....

It's been a few months, but I'm still alive and well here in Montana, enjoying the season change in our neck of the woods. Fall has been just beautiful this year...temps are dipping now, a little bit of that white stuff showed up this week, not to stay, warmer temps on the way...so says the weather man, we'll see.

In the meantime...I just want to give a shout out to my blogger buddy, Vee, she has been so helpful in assisting me with correcting my blogger issues. Thanks so much Vee, I was able to delete old, very old photos in Picasa and now have more file space to continue to post new photos!  Bless you my friend!

We had a wonderful summer, family weddings, CA, ID, OR, and WA friends coming to "The Haven" for visits, house progress (I'll share in another post on our inside progress this past summer) and work opportunities.

Pat's been working steady since last Feb. with the same contractor, so blessed!!! He has been traveling with our RV, I've been fortunate to tag along here and there, exploring more of this beautiful state, no complaints here.

Exciting times with the election coming up, actually I'll be so glad when it's all over with...ready to VOTE and move on!

Here's a look at my Fall decor this year, had fun crafting with a good friend making burlap pumpkins last month.

Greetings...

Hope everyone out there is having a great summer. I have, a very, very busy one at that, seems I haven't been around here for a couple of months. I'm still alive and hope to get back to my blogging this Fall.

Have company showing up this month, September and possibly October, 2 more family weddings to go, and hubby is out of state working for the next 3 months. Whew....

I have my whole summer to share, once I'm back with more "photo" space. Still not sure if I will delete very old posts, or start up a new blog....thinking about that.

Until Fall.....Ciao!!!!!

Maybe a New Blog??????

Well my fellow blog buddies..."Blogger" has informed me that I am completely out of space for any more photos. RATS!!! Didn't have a clue at first what that all meant until I got some advise from one of our fellow bloggers, Vee.

I have a couple of options here, either purchase more space from google, OR...start a new blog. If I try to delete some of my older photos, I think I'll loose the old posts too.

If anyone out there has any other advise, I'm listing. Has anyone else had this issue yet? And what did you do?

Help!!!

Belt Montana

Whew it's been awhile since I've last posted. Somehow I missed the month of May all together, too much time on Pinterest I guess.   ;)

We're here in "Belt" Montana, approx. 20 miles from "Great Falls", hubby is working on another job here for about a month. We pulled the RV over last weekend and set up house for awhile. I'll be back and forth throughout the month. I enjoy exploring new towns and meeting new folks...a fun way to be with hubby on jobs and see this amazing state.

Our RV tucked in behind the trees.
Belt's a very small town tucked into the base of the Belt Mountains. This area is known for it's great artisan and limestone water wells. They actually have two nice micro breweries in town and I've been told that other breweries in the state purchase the water here...because it's good for making beer, go figure.

We're staying at the "Fort Ponderosa RV Park", right outside of town, under new ownership,  a country western feel, very clean, green grass, large trees, very quiet, with interesting old western antiques throughout the property.

I had fun walking around today taking photos and listening to the owner (Carol) share about the old 100 year old barn, old mining carts, wagon wheels, a child's teeter-totter (I love those kind) and this property they purchased over a year ago. The place is charming, they've worked real hard to restore this business. I was so inspired hearing her story and how they left Sandpoint Idaho to come to Montana and to start a new life and business.

Come along for some more photos....and meet "Carol".

Tenting area.
Meet "Carol", owner, she's originally from PA, back east, we hit it off, gee I wonder why...check out the cool teeter-totter!
The scullery is for the "tenters" to use to wash their dishes if they want.
Just one of the old buildings located on the property.

100 year old barn (new roof) that came with the property.

A true "Montana" western RV experience!!!!
