Family Thanksgiving in Montana!

So blessed to have my sister and here entire family join us here at the Haven. We had very cold temps and snow, but sunshine that would blind anyone without sun glasses.

We played cards, we ate, played games, we ate, went sledding, we ate some more, went to town on black Friday... shopped, hit the candy store, hit the toy store, hit a couple of antique shops, hit the brewery, came home and ate leftovers, assembled a ginger bread house with the little ones, played more games, and continued eating all the left overs! .

New Seasons...Fall

Love this time of year here in Montana. Pat and took more time this season to take day trips and seek out the colors of Fall. I have always enjoyed the changing seasons, not only with temperatures, but personal and inner season changes.

Blessed to serve a God who is forever faithful in good seasons and challenging ones. We happen to be in a terrific season in our lives!!

Add fun dressing up for Halloween "Woodland Fairy", hence the twigs in my hair!

Memorial Day...

Echo Lake

Remembering those that have served and sacrificed for our country ... and those that are still serving this Memorial Day. Thank you and may God bless your lives abundantly.

Enjoyed a delightful kayak float on Memorial Day. Pat and I dusted off our kayaks and headed to Echo lake, only 20 minutes from the house. It was a gorgeous morning, we did get off the lake before a storm rolled in that afternoon.

My hubby kayaking Echo Lake

I bet this old boat could tell some stories!

More news...I started working 3 days a week in our little town a couple of weeks ago. One of our shops is now under new ownership and she has completely revamped the entire boutique and coffee shop. Love working retail, and enjoy working the boutique. I still have plenty of time to work in my little shop, "Attic Charm". Traffic in town is picking up, school's almost out, the visitors are arriving, and my sales are going up!!

If anyone out there is thinking about taking a trip to Montana, make sure you put Historic Philipsburg Montana on your schedule and stop in "The Daily Grind" for a good cup of coffee and browse the boutique, Also, check out "Attic Charm" located in the loft area of "Schnibbles".

Looking forward to a great summer season here in Philipsburg Montana!

Oh let the sunshine in....

Montana is experiencing a mild February this year, so nice to have so much sunshine!!! I know the east coast is suffering horrible temperatures and ridiculous amounts of snow, my heart goes out to all my New England relatives and friends.

For us, we are warmer than normal and our snow is almost completely GONE, not like last year! I can feel an early Spring coming our way, and we'll take it.

My kitties are enjoying many mornings sunning themselves on the deck before they head back down to their cozy warm basement to sleep.

Pat and I take many walks all around our area and have enjoyed the sun on our faces, life is so good to us, and we feel fortunate and blessed here in our beloved Montana!

Be safe, stay warm and remember winter will not last forever back in New England! Sighhhh

Moose Country

We never tire from seeing these amazing animals here in Montana, the moose!  Captured this photo on Sunday coming home from the Georgetown Lake area. This yearling was practically on the side of the road when we spotted her. And of course, not far away was her momma. She watched us closely just above where the yearling was grazing on a pine tree.

We know better than to get out of the car and try to get closer, moose can be very aggressive and dangerous. We kept our distance and respected their space. Love that my phone camera is a good one and I captured this photo.

Love me a moose in Montana!!
